Our SHIELD tallow sunscreen is made using 100% grass-fed suet (beef kidney fat). SHIELD is packed full of nutrients with non-nano zinc oxide to protect the skin from the sun when needed. SHIELD is a lightweight yet nourishing sunscreen suitable for all skin types, including sensitive or acne-prone skin. SHIELD is water-resistant and nearly fully absorbent leaving little to no white cast while offering a SPF of 40+.
Tallow: allergen-free and toxin-free, anti-inflammatory, rich in bio-available vitamins A, D, E, K, B12, and collagen. Grass-fed tallow has the highest percentage of vitamins available in beef fat and is the closest to our skin’s natural sebum (oil produced by the glands in our skin). Whether you have oily, dry, or combination skin, grass-fed tallow, combined with the following ingredients, is pure nourishment to your skin.
Non-Nano Zinc Oxide: Provides broad-spectrum UV protection by reflecting and scattering UV rays.
Shea Butter: Rich in fatty acids (oleic, stearic, linoleic) that nourish and restore the skin barrier; soothes redness and irritation, making it ideal for sensitive or inflamed skin; Vitamins A and E, which promote healing and improve elasticity; absorbs easily without clogging pores; and offers minimal SPF, complementing non-nano zinc oxide's broad-spectrum protection.
Rosehip Oil: Rich in essential fatty acids (omega 3, 6, and 9) for deep hydration; high in vitamins A, C, and E, providing antioxidant protection; promotes collagen production and improves skin elasticity; helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles; brightens skin and evens out skin tone; calms inflammation and soothes sensitive skin; may help with acne and acne scarring; and is lightweight and easily absorbed by the skin.
Coconut Oil: anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, moisturizes and
aids in wound healing, helps treat acne, etc.
Beeswax: Acts as a natural barrier, locking in moisture and protecting the skin from environmental damage while offering soothing anti-inflammatory properties.
